The Start

For those who haven't followed my other blog (all 7 of them), I'm a retired geezer who worked in the medical field. I live in SW Montana, and last winter was the first winter that retired, I didn't travel almost weekly. The winter got long indeed, and lasted until May. June actually. So, this winter, I'm outta here. No snow shoveling, no warming up the truck for 30 minutes when it's a minus 25. I'm heading west to Seattle, down to Portland, where I'll visit the kids for a few days or weeks, then on to the coast. My plan, at the time, is to take my time through Oregon, California, over to Arizona and New Mexico. After that, on to the Gulf Coast.

I plan on blogging as I can, with pictures, as the internet is available.

You're welcome to tag along.

  2. Hope your journey is a great adventure, Mike.

Just like emb said, I, too, will be following and living the road trip vicariously through your posts. I've been wanting to take an extended road trip for more than 30 years.
